About us:

About us: The Northern Virginia STEM Learning Network was established by Virginia Tech in 2007 as an informal network of STEM educators. It became a formal part of the DMV Ecosystem in 2021 until that ecosystem grant expired in 2024. In October 2025 we received national recognition of our ecosystem and were now building the architecture to accomplish our goals. Please join us.

NOVA Students Transfering to Virginia Tech Engineering

For NOVA Students who have an intent to transfer

to Virginia Tech in an Engineering discipline

This is the inaugural year for the Virginia Tech (VT) Engineering Transfer Club!

The purpose of the club is to help NOVA students succeed in transferring to VT in Engineering after completing an A.S. or A.A.S. at NOVA as described in the Guaranteed Admissions Agreement between VT and NOVA.

With a 5-student board and 20 members, the club meets every Thursday on the Annandale campus and visits the Fab Lab in Manassas every other Friday, starting in January 2024. Club members are planning a day trip to VT to visit with the Engineering faculty and prepare for life at the university.

If you are interested in joining the VT Engineering Transfer Club, you can sign up on the NOVA Engage App ( ANDROID  or  APPLE ), under Clubs & Groups.
