2014 TyE Boot Camp Program Information

TyE is a two-week boot camp from July 7-18, culminating in a business plan competition on August 23. The winning team goes on to compete in the TyE Global Business Competition in 2015. TyE features lectures by industry experts and entrepreneurs followed by interactive discussion. Business topics to be covered include:

What is Entrepreneurship and Ideation?
Strategic Marketing
Legal Aspects of a Business & Understanding Business Models
Understanding Financials, Raising Money,and Financing Your Business
Implementation and Roll-Out Phases
Creating an Effective Pitch
Business Plan Workshop
Putting it all together: Hear from 2 local Successful Entrepreneurs.
Effective Presentation Skills. Who is your audience?
This year's Boot Camp and business plan competition will be at George Mason University.

The aim of the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Program is to empower our youth to become the next generation of entrepreneurs. TYE Global is a unique program that helps high school students learn about the challenges and rewards of becoming an entrepreneur. Seasoned entrepreneurs and mentors coach students based on a business-focused curriculum. The program comes to a close with global Business Plan Competition for the youth. The TYE program nurtures the creativity, self-confidence, leadership and overall development of the students.
