About us:
About us: The Northern Virginia STEM Learning Network was established by Virginia Tech in 2007 as an informal network of STEM educators. It became a formal part of the DMV Ecosystem in 2021 until that ecosystem grant expired in 2024. In October 2025 we received national recognition of our ecosystem and were now building the architecture to accomplish our goals. Please join us.

The National Girls Collaborative Project presents:
Leading Through Role Modeling: Training for the Federal Workforce to Engage Girls in STEM
March 14, 2013
Session 1: 9am – 12pm
Session 2: 1pm – 4pm
Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Headquarters
1900 E Street NW, Washington, DC 20415
Federal employees working in fields related to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) will be invited to a special training (details above) thanks to the National Science Foundation and OPM. We anticipate more than 200 participants. Techbridge, an award winning national program, will offer workshops with role model resources and strategies.
In conjunction with the training, the The Mid-Atlantic Girls Collaborative (MAGiC) will host an on-site program fair for local girl-serving STEM-focused organizations to recruit volunteers and display promotional materials.
The goal is for you to connect directly with the attendees who will be engaged, trained and ready to go!
Booth spaces –no fee involved—will be available on a first come, first served basis. A brief application and more details will be available soon. Contact:
